Homeless Artist Family

Donation protected
We are a family of 3 artists who were recently evicted. I am 68 years old, my wife is 55 and our son is 25.  I'm a freelance artist. I do caricatures, portrait paintings and miscellaneous other artwork. I recently broke my ankle, which made me lose some bookings over the summer. My wife Alesia is a doll artist and former actress. She is partially disabled, recovering from brain surgery for a congenital skull defect (Chiari malformation) which caused a brain hernia (tonsillar herniation). This caused her to become paralyzed and bedridden. She was hospitalized 3 times before doctors finally diagnosed her illness and did emergency brain surgery. At that point, she was having difficulty swallowing and breathing and having blackouts, among other problems. The doctors at Greater Baltimore Medical Center said she was near death and did emergency surgery. Since then she has regained some mobility  but she still has difficulty walking. Our son is currently unemployed but looking for work. We have struggled to pay our rent for many years on our meager income. The recent difficulties pushed things to the breaking point. We were tenants at the same address for over 20 years, but our landlord wouldn't wait 3 days for my Social Security to come in and they threw us out into  the street. We've now been spending the Social Security payment on a motel room, and the money is running out. We couldn't even find a shelter. Please help. Any donations will be repaid by artwork.
