Lynette's Adoption Fund

I have always loved children and have wanted to be a mom as far back as I can recall. About a decade ago, I began feeling called to adopt a child... or two or three. I remember sitting in church and hearing the scripture out of James 1:27, "Pure and genuine religion in the sight of God the Father means caring for orphans and widows...". It was one of those moments that I felt the presence of God, something far greater than myself, tugging directly on my heart... softening it, preparing it, etching it with a deep desire to love & care for my adopted child(ren) one day as if they were my very own flesh.

The time has finally arrived! About a year ago, I heard about a program called Snowflakes Embryo Adoption. Embryo adoption allows couples who have used in vitro fertilization to achieve pregnancy to select a home for their remaining embryos and give them a chance at life. The adopting family (that's me!) is able to use the donated embryos to achieve a pregnancy and actually give birth to their adopted child. When I heard about this program, my heart leaped. Knowing that I could also experience pregnancy (and nursing) with my adopted child was mind-blowing to me. After much prayer and consideration, I knew this would be the option for me. I have a great sense of peace and excitement as I move toward embryo adoption.
