Cheyanne has always been an optomistic fighter in pursuit of a happy healthy existence. She cheers for the underdog, volunteers at multiple charities, and works to empower not just those who know her but everyone she has the ability to reach.
Despite this healthy lifestyle and efforts, she was unfortunately diagnosed with Cancer earlier this year and has been battling through surgeries and therapies since then.
In April after undergoing various scans and tests 2 areas of cervical cancer were found with possible lymph node involvement.
On June 17, 2016 she underwent surgery - a radical tracheletcomy (removal of her cervix), in an attempt to rid her body of the cancer while still preserving her ability to conceive children in the future, and a bilateral pelvic lymph node dissection.
2 weeks following her surgery, more bad news stuck, pathology reports came back showing that the cancer had metastasized to 2 of her lymphnodes and that she would need to undergo chemotherapy and radiation treatment. Due to the location of the cancer and the nature of the radiation and chemo, she will has ovarian failure and dispite the efforts to preserve, will no longer be able to conceive a child. A very big blow to a woman who loves children :(
She is currently undergoing 6 weekly chemotherapy infusions and 6 weeks of daily radiation therapy.
And yet, she remains positive and full of hope. Constantly pointing out the unknown greater battles that everyone arounds us faces and fights, while downplaying the struggle for her own health and wellbeing. She has become an even bigger inspiration and role model in doing so.
How can you help?? Cheyanne is self employed and her financial health is tied to her physical health. Her ability to market, grow or even sustain her business and subsequent living expenses require her to be healthy and active, a task that has been increasing difficult for her through hospital visits, stays and in home treatment recovery. These expenses in addition to the expenses of her treatment, medications and recovery have left her financially strapped and in need of help.
Cheyanne is a proud woman who feels blessed to simply have words of encouragement and supportive prayers from her family and friends. However, in this time of need, if you are able to support her with either a donation or simply a sharing of this fund--it would be a huge help and great way to relieve some of the stress this ordeal has caused her.
