Robin's Mission Assignment to Haiti

I am Rev. Robin Woodberry and I am a part of Team Trinity serving through the Lott Carey Global Christian Missional Community. Our Mission: To extend the Christian witness around the world. Through prayer partnership, financial support, and technical assistance, we come alongside indigenous communities to support ministries of evangelism, compassion, empowerment, and advocacy. Together, we are touching lives with transforming love.
Haiti has been struck by several natural disasters in the past 6 plus years. In January 12, 2010, a 7.0 earthquake struck Haiti killing hundreds of thousands people. Six-plus years since the quake, some but little overall progress has been made to restore the lives of the Haitian people.
The most recent tragedy caused by rains from Tropical Storm Erika created a mudslide, on August 29, 2015 in the community of Carries. Twenty-nine (29) homes were destroyed with damage to others, leaving many people homeless. The immediate response was clean-up. The purpose of this trip is to assist with rebuilding this community and serve the Mission of Grace Haiti core ministries: Children of Grace Orphanage, Young Girls Home, Grace Community School, Grace Elderly Home, Grace Community Medical Clinic, Grace Community Church, and the Single Mothers Home.
Our Team will come alongside partners for community development ministries in Carries, Haiti helping families to rise again.
Our Team is scheduled to travel to Carries from November 26th-December 3rd, 2016. The cost of the trip is $2,000 and is due by October 31st. The cost includes transportation, lodging, insurance, meals and $400-$500 of the cost is used for recovery assistance.
This will be my third time to share with those in need in Haiti. I have begun to build a relationship with people there and we have built a bond. They know that I and the team come to help them because we love them and care for them and it is my hope that we can continue to build, work and grow together in the years to come.
Please consider joining me in the work that is being done in Haiti. All investments are tax deductible and all amounts would be greatly appreciated. Upon my return, I will gladly send you a full report of the trip and upon request, I will come and make a presentation to your church, Board, organization, etc.
