Hi,
My name is Maddison Jade Saul and I'm only 8 days old so one of my family's close friends of 15 years (Kristy) has helped write this campaign on my behalf.
I was born on September 22, 2016. I was so excited to see my family that I decided to come out 16 weeks too early. Because of this my home for the next 5 months or more will be the Mater Mothers Private Hospital in Brisbane. My bed is a humidicrib and I need to be under constant supervision to ensure my body grows and develops properly.
Every day is a challenge for me and my one wish is for my Mum, Dad and 2 sisters to be here with me. The problem is that my family lives in Gladstone 7 hours drive from here. My Mum will be living here in Brisbane with me but my Dad & sisters will need to travel here every weekend just to spend time with me.
My Mum (Sophie) cannot work now as she needs to stay here and care for me so our family is now back to a single wage. My Dad (Ben) still needs to go to work in Gladstone and look after my sisters (Ella 5 & Indee 1) all by himself. My family is going to be apart for 5 months or more.
My Go Fund Me campaign is to help me raise money so that my family can be together here with me every weekend. The money raised here will go towards, not only fuel, flights, taxi's, accommodation, food, and travel expenses for my Mum, Dad and 2 sisters but also for my costly medical expenses that have already been incurred and further medical bills and unexpected costs that will come up during my stay here in hospital. Even donations of premiture baby clothes and small nappies would be greatly appreciated.
We need to raise these funds as fast as possible. I simply can't wait for the day that my family will be able to hold me and give me hugs and kisses.
