I know and understand that this is probabably the 100th GoFund me you've come across and have read while scrolling through facebook or twitter or any other social media outlet so I want to first start off by saying thank you. Thank you for taking time out of your day to even open this up to read it!
I am not creating this account for pity or to make you feel sad or bad for the family that this will help. I am simply here to tell the story of one of the most amazing men I have ever met. In fact, I'm sure if he knew I was creating this, he would be upset with me, bc that's Bill... that's who he is. Never worrying or feeling bad about himself but always thinking of others. I know it all sounds so cliche but there are really no words to express the impact he has had on not only me but the impact he has had on every person lucky enough to meet Bill.
He is an amazing husband, father, grandfather, etc. An absolute example of what a man should be. He's filled with so much knowledge, wisdom and advice but offers it all in such an inspiring way. Inspirational.. that's a great word to describe Bill. Even the stuff you didn't want to hear. He would captivate the conversation and you just believed what he was saying. Genuine.. that's another great word to describe Bill. You just wanted to make him proud.
By day he is a Pharmacist. He's worked long hours for corporate America for over 35 years taking great pleasure in servicing the guests of his pharmacy. Just ask any of the guests who have used a pharmacy Bill has worked for.. they go back because of him. For 2 of those years, I had the utmost pleasure of working with Bill. Every morning I'd see him behind the pharmacy and say "Good Morning Bill, how are ya?" and EVERY SINGLE morning, in his Boston accent, he'd shout back at me "Top of the World!". This is how Bill would answer that question to anyone who asked how he was doing.
Yesterday, Sep 26th 2016, Bill and his wife Nina lost their home in a devastating fire. They lost everything. There aren't any details quite yet about how or why it started but within minutes their entire home was in flames.
Again, the point of this is to not feel bad for Bill and his family (even though it's almost imposible not too). WE (all of the people who Bill has positively impacted over the years) have decided to create this GoFund me account to just aid in the rebuilding and reparing of their home and their lives. No amount of money can bring back the memories and sentimental keepings they've lost but we can donate to a man who honestly deserves it.
Think how Bill would think. He would give the last penny he had for a person or family who needed it. Selfless... the definition of Bill. I'm asking that if you are willing and able to please to be as selfless and compassionate as he is. We are not asking for you to give much, just a mere dollar if you can spare. Know that you would be doing good for a man who does so much good for others!
