emergency for Ted and Kim Treadway

Emergency funds needed for Ted and Kim Treadway to secure their Guatemalan mission house.  Ted and Kim had their misson home broken into in the middle of the night on Sept 29th and they were held by gun point and threatened to lose their lives or give up all of their possessions. The robbers said they were hired to kill them, but they stole all of their emergency fund cash, credit cards, laptops, phones, and all electronics.  Kim was grabbed after checking on the dogs barking, brought back into the house where Ted was getting out of the shower in the middle of the night. He was naked , gun pointed to his head, tortured, and told give up everything or they would kill them.  The emergency funds will help them to immediately secure the building, purchase travel arrangements, and use the funds to establish their next steps as God leads them. They are located in the Peten Jungle area of Guatemala and have been missionairies for over ten years. They have been in the process of trying to adopt a Guatemalan child who was left for dead in their area. They will be figuring out how to make the transition to how God is leading them while trying to get legal custody of the orphaned child Daniel and proceed with legal adoption. Guatemala has a no adoption policy, but this child has been abandoned and Ted and Kim have come to believe God has given them this young boy for their own.  Their next step will include the funds rasied, prayers for direction, and clear thinking to hear from God. 

Here is the latest update I've seen from Ted concerning how things are going. Don't worry, they are doing everything they can to resolve the issues of the tragedy that happened. ////// Hello my friends and family. Been a trying time here the past several days in Guatemala. Will be positing an update soon for all, so you know what has happened here and what we are doing about it. I would like to thank my dear friend Pastor Doug Rudow, for establishing a GoFundMe account. I am overwhelmed and humbled by the number of people who have responded and thankful that God has put you in my life at some point. Kim and I and Daniel thank you sincerely with all our heart. I will give you and update as to how what happened down here at the mission, what we are doing to help to prevent this from happening again. I am so busy with the legal issues surrounding what happened to us, that I have not had time to deal with communication. Today I am meeting with the mayor of the municipality about what has happened here and asking for the attention of the government to deal with the shortcomings that have helped to being about the events that have passed.
