Izzy’s Surgery

Hi friends and family —
It’s with deep sadness that I’m writing this on behalf of Maddie Stroud, my lifelong bestfriend, someone who has been battling for her bestfriend,  Izzy (Izward). 


For a couple of days, it was noted that he had been limping and showing signs of pain and discomfort, something that was unusual for this happy spirited pup. Izzy was brought to the vet in which they found that he had torn his ACL in an accident, and Maddie was given the estimate for surgery. With vet prices being difficult for any financial situation, it was a shock to see the price for his betterment would soar to almost two-grand. 

Izzy is a registered Emotional Support Animal that aids in Maddie’s everyday life. He is incredibly important because of how he helps maintain a positive quality of life through his support. It's hard not to think of animals as our children, and you don't ever want your baby to suffer. 

The funding for Izward will be directly given to his treatment plan and for his upcoming surgery. There is no date as of yet, but the surgery needs to be soon as he is currently in immense pain. He's unable to move without the help of Maddie picking him up wherever he needs to go; he's unable to go outside and potty -- when he does, he keeps falling over because the pain is unbearable. Without this surgery, he will never walk without pain again.
