Maggie's Memorial Fund

This is Maggie's story, a story that involves a lot of people who love and adore this young woman.   She was an energized ball of life who was filled with dreams and plans for her life.  She wanted to be a doctor and heal people. She wanted to open a clinic and help people both medically and with nutrition.  She was in the process of attending Folsom Lake and ARC for her general ed courses, and then was to begin her  pre-med. She dreamed of attending medical school in Atlanta because it was close  to the Center for Disease Control.  She was a single mother of a bright  creative, loving and energetic 6 year old son,  She was in the pursuit of life and happiness.  She was open and honest to her core, helping out anyone who needed a hand. 

Maggie was enjoying her new found relationship which she had just announced on Facebook.  She and Chris were taken much too early and suddenly by someone who made a tragically bad decision to get in his car and drive while under the influence.

Being a young single mother and student, Maggie did not have funds available to assist with memorial expenses or expenses to raise her son Zilas.  The funds would be used to help pay for a creamation and service as well as Zilas' daycare and possibly even to begin a college fund for him.  Wouldn't it be amazing if Zilas could continue in his mother's footsteps and become a helping and healing adult as well?  

While Maggie's life was cut short, we, her loving family wish for her story to be told, that 3 young lives have all been extinguished and changed forever because of a poor decision, and we hope that people will  understand the serious impact that driving while under the influence can have on families.  We greatly appreciate any amount you can give.  Thank you.
