Professional Clarinet for College!

My name is Walker Miller, I'm a high school senior preparing to go into college. Since the fifth grade I have played on the same clarinet in numerous school bands, honors bands, marching bands, and band camps. Unfortunately, I find it progressively more difficult to continue improving on the clarinet I have currently. Going into college I find it vital that I have a more quality and professional clarinet to play on; I worry that my cheaper, plastic clarinet hinders me from moving forward.
As many of you may not realize, this "cheaper" clarinet cost my family around $700. A new (or even used) wooden clarinet costs upwards of $1000-$2000 and the higher-end models can cost up to $5000 or more. Recently, my dad was diagnosed with cancer, so adding medical expenses to our already tough finacial situation makes paying for college impossible, let alone being able to afford extras such as a new clarinet probable. I am in need of a clarinet I can play on throughout college as soon as possible seeing as I will be starting my Freshman year of college next fall.
Playing clarinet is a very important component in my life and I would never dream I would have to stop due to lack of funds. I have always loved music and hope that it's going to continue to play a role in my college years. Any sort of donation helps, this campaign is part of a scholarship contest so even a minimal donation could help me to be awarded a sum of money toward my college education. Thank you so much!
