Pi Kappa Alpha Philanthropy

For the fall of 2016, the Alpha Chi Chapter of Pi Kappa Alpha will be hosting ‘Pike Presents: Su vs. Blood Cancers’ as our philanthropic event.
‘SU vs. Blood Cancers’ will have both fraternities and sororities competing against one another on a competitive obstacle course in Walnut Park. Ultimately the main focus of the event is to raise awareness for the organization, Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
The mission of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) is to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. LLS exists to find cures and ensure access to treatments for blood cancer patients.
Along with the event itself, Pi Kappa Alpha will use the support of local businesses and crowd-funding, through GoFundMe, to raise money throughout the month of September and October. Our fundraising goal is $10,000, but we hope to exceed this.
Overall we are very excited to host this event and raise both awareness and money for a great cause. ‘SU vs. Blood Cancers’ will take place on Sunday, October 23rd.
