Hi, music lovers and supporters!
We are two independent singer/songwriters from Toronto, and we're also a co-writing team and performing act. We like to sit in Elana's kitchen and write songs together. Sometimes we put up video demos the same day. We always have fun, and we always follow the muse.
We are Beautiful Salt - and we need your help! We've written so many songs together that we've decided to record a full-length cd.
Beautiful Salt's music is based around the roller-coaster of interpersonal relationships, the emotions that compell us to behave in sometimes bizarre ways, sometimes with romance and love.
We explore it all.
Recording, mixing, mastering, pressing, releasing and promoting songs is still an expensive endeavor - even today. We are fortunate to have amazing musicians and studios offering us their services at a discount, but to make our project a physical reality with a chance of success in the marketplace we need funding.
Previous songs we've released have achieved success at national radio, and have won international songwriting awards (SongDoor, Great American Song). We've also enjoyed these successes as writers separately, but we believe our co-writes have very strong potential for placement in film/tv and with other artists. We really hope you believe the same and will help us!
We need $10,000.
$5,000 for hard costs: recording, mixing, mastering and pressing including musician fees and other studio-related expenses
$5,000 for promotion: press, radio and other publicity expenses
