CONNOR P. GLASSETT- A Lover of Life

Don protégé

The beneficiary for this account will be Elise Glassett, the mother of Connor Glassett.

Early in the morning, Sunday September 18th, the Glassett family received a phone call that no parent should ever have to answer. Their son Connor had had a terrible accident and was being rushed to the local Emergency Room. After being transferred to Upstate Medical Hospital in Syracuse, NY and undergoing crucial Neurosurgery, Connor spent days in the ICU in recovery where family and close friends clung to his side and supported those who love him most.

After performing multiple medical tests and measures, in any and all efforts to save his life, Connor's passing was announced in the evening of September 22nd.

While everyone close to Connor is in shock of this life taken entirely too soon, we ask you to remember Connor as a remarkable, loving, kind-hearted young man who did not just go through the motions or count his days, but really collected moments and made his days count. Between spending most of his life in the States, but adventuring to France, Ireland, and New Zealand (amongst other countries) during his high school and college studies, the number of lives Connor has influenced and impacted are astronomical.

I know I can speak for the Glassett family, as well as myself, when I say that the amount of kind words, support, and prayers pouring in from both near and far have been incredibly overwhelming (in the best sense of the word). So, for that, we thank you and are extremely grateful to you.

Many of you have been asking how or what it is you can do to help. In addition to your continued prayers for family and friends of Connor, any monetary support to lessen the financial burden that is stacking up for his family will be more than graciously received. Between the medical bills of the ambulance ride, operations, intensive care, medical tests and scans, hospital stay, funeral expenses, lodging for his family, and other contributing financial duties, please know that no donation is too small. Every dollar donated is one less out of his family's pocket.

Connor and the entire Glassett family have done so much for all of us as well as for complete strangers without ever asking for anything in return. Now is our chance to help this family in need and pay it forward. Even if you do not know the Glassett's or Connor personally, please realize that no one ever expects something like this to ever happen to them or to someone whom they know and love. If you are not in a position to donate, or even if you are, we ask that you do something kind for someone in Connor's memory. He has shown us so much in a very short 21 years and I do not believe that he would want it any other way.

Although extremely sad, there is a light at the end of this seemingly dark tunnel. Connor still has the opportunity to save the lives of others through viable organ donation.

Please share this page over and over, and if you could, find it in your heart to give whatever possible. I will leave you with this quote that I believe exemplifies the way that Connor spent his time here in this world:

"To live is the rarest thing in the world. Most people exist, that is all." -Oscar Wilde
