Youngstown Indie Creators expo

Hello, My name is Carlos. In 2015 I decided to start a small press convention in the Youngstown, Ohio area.
The Convention was a smaller version of SPACE in Columbus and SPX in Maryland. This was to be a showcase for local creators of Comic Books called the Youngstown Indie Comics Expo.

The first year was a small  surprising success, as I did not know what kind of response I would get for the show. The first year I charged $5.00 for vendor tables and $1.00 for admission to the show.

In 2016 I saw that a few of the shows like this in Pittsburgh ,Cleveland and Columbus were not charging admission to the general public.

So I decided to Charge $20.00 for vendors and no admission for the public. I also moved the convention to a much more expensive venue at the Canfield Hampton Inn. The show was well attended. We had several panels. I got a great response from everyone.

For 2017 I am moving the show to downtown Youngstown at the First Presbyterian Church at 201 Wick Ave. (two blocks south of YSU). I would like to keep the admission free and keep costs for vendors down.

I am now asking for help from my friends, familly and community to keep this show going. Funds donated will go toward Hall rental, Better advertising, Best in show prize and for our end of show pizza party.

I have paid for this show out of pocket for two years and would like it to continue. I enjoy putting it together.

Thank you for your time and for your donation.
