Amy's Wishes With Wings is a theraputic horseback riding facility that provides horseback riding to children with special needs in Southlake, TX. The facility is staffed with PATH and Spirithorse instructors.
I am trying to raise money to give back to these amazing people and horses that have given so much to my family and many others in the community. Currently, there are quite a few things that are needed to care for the horses that provide so much for so many children in numerous ways. The following is what we will be putting donations towards:
- Saddle Pads for each horse, 12 needed ($100 each)
- Barn Repairs needing $4,000 to complete repairs
- Vet Bills totalling $1,200 for 2 therapy horses, Shotgun and Penny
- New Therapy Horse to help all of these truly amazing children $3,500
We need the funds by the end of the year, December 31, 2016.
The reason I am reaching out and starting this campaign, is to try and give back to a program that has given such an incredible service to so many children in our community. My daughter Millie has personally grown in such an amazing way thanks to the kindness and patience of all the staff and horses. As I have said so many times, I could not imagine her life, or our life for that matter, without these horses and the fabulous humans too.
Ride with Pride and Amy's Wishes With Wings has been around for 37 years. There have recently been 4 other therapy centers in the area that have had no choice but to close their centers down. I know that together we can all prevent the same thing from happening to this amazing facility.
