Help Publish the Max Letters
Donation protected
Max has been writing letter for years. Many of them are boring academic ramblings or “how’s the family” letters to friends and colleagues. Hidden in a box labeled “Office Junk” we found a collection of several hundred letters written to companies across North America asking for help and advice to make their product or service work the way it is advertised. The letters paint a humorous picture of Dr. Oberon’s life as they describe the predicaments his wife, known only as Mrs. Oberon, and their dog Roxy get into. Not only did the box contain the letters of Dr. Oberon but the equally humorous replies of customer service representatives trying to assist Max in correcting problems and offering suggestions or apologies.
We have sorted through hundreds of letters and put together a collection of letters for this volume, grouping them by content to ensure that there is an even flow to the book so that the reader can fully appreciate Dr. Oberon, his wife, Mrs. Oberon and their dog, Roxy.
Funding from this GoFundMe will be used to print publish the limited edition book of the letters of Max Oberon PhD, entitled Dear Sir or Madam; The Max Letters in both standard paperback and ebook editions.
The goal is to have this funds in place by November 15th and project complete and all items shipped by December 10th, 2016.
All donations of $25.00 or more will receive a signed copy of Dear Sir or Madame; The Max Letters and a personal thank you letter from Dr. Oberon.
