Help send Sisters  Unidas to aid Mi Esperanza in the fight against poverty!

Mi Esperanza "My Hope" is a nonprofit organization for women located in Honduras, who's mission is to elevate through education. Started in 2002, Mi Esperanza works to provide free skills training and education to impoverished woman. With the tools and financial resources needed, these women are finding life changing work opportunities that will create a stable future for themselves and their children.

I have had the privilege of traveling to Honduras to visit my sister, Lori Connell who with her dear friend Janet Hines started Mi Esperanza. Myself and one of my employees, Tanya Matthewson
have made it our goal to help this great cause. As Sisters Unidas we want to empower all women through advanced education and support.

We will be traveling to Honduras in February 2018 to teach at the Mi Esperanza Cosmetology School. We'll be bringing our advanced skills and much needed cosmetology supplies to educate these amazing women. With eight months at the school followed by a six month apprenticeship, the skills learned are vital for their success after Mi Esperanza. Hair cuts, hair styles, consultations, client retention, and salon management will be the main areas we want to focus on at the school. This first hand professional information will boost the womens knowledge and help substantially.

Along with cosmetology supplies, money raised will provide school supplies to the children in the communities near Mi Esperanza. For $70 a kit is put together with school uniforms, paper, pencils, binders, and other school essentials. The kits are distributed to as many needy children as possible by Mi Esperanza. Only living on two dollars a day these women cannot afford the simplest pencil  or paper, making every donation more meaningful.
The money donated will also help us build a home for a family through Mi Esperanza's "The Honduras Project". With 60% of people in Honduras unemployed, the majority being women, sustainable housing is nearly impossible to have. Most living in just temporary cardboard structures. We will personally be able to help one of these homeless families by assisting The Honduras Project build a house.

We will be so grateful to meet our goal for a chance to aid in the continuous fight against poverty. Every dollar counts and will help us educate and assist these amazing people.

                       THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP!
