My name is Barry Hayes and my partner and I have been in the neighborhood for five years and have fallen in love the with area.

We are raising funds to cover the balance of expenses we will have to open our Farm To Table Fresh Fruits and Veggies & CO-OP Market. We have run a great Fruit and Veggie stand out of the empty parking lot at 1134 Queen St East since the begining of June this year and have had the best time, met everyone from around the neighborhood and have really good success selling out almost every day. We invited other small business's who were looking for a way to bring their products to the public and have done an outdoor market with several vendors every saturday with our vendors having very good success.
As luck would have it, a shop 25 feet east of our parking lot at 1144 Queen St East is available for rent for Oct 1 and we have rented it to continue our fruit, veggie and co-op market year round. We will have a great selection of produce with our preference always being featuring Ontario Produce with farms that feature ethical, sustainable farming practices, with natural insecticides and either low or no spray when possible. The funds, in addition to our savings will be used to cover the expenses to open and stock a great neighborhood shop with fruits and veggies as well as Kawartha Dairy milk, butter and their famous farm fresh hard ice cream for cones and take away containers.

We will be incredibly grateful for the support and will show this by supporting local fundraisers, being involved in events in the area, offering home delivery for those having a hard time getting out. We will treat our customers and friends with the kind of friendly old fashioned service that we used to get, where the shopkeeper would know your name, ask how the family was, help you to your car with your groceries, and alwasy finish with a smile and a genuine thank  you!
