My story starts when I was 16 years old. I was an aspiring DJ at the time, loving electronic music more and more every single day.
I had been fortunate enough to meet Eric, who actually showed me how it was done, how electronic music was mixed. After that, my life was forever changed.
For those of you who know me well, you know that I had been a DJ now for 14 years. I've played countless shows and thrown many a parties. I've met a lot of my friends in the scene and I am so grateful to be a part of their lives. Many of you have danced to my tunes when I DJ and we've shared songs together.
When I started listening to electronic music, I always wondered how it was made. I knew it wasn't a band but not much more beyond that. I saw Eric DJing and I was simply amazed. I said, I want to do that! He was my inspiration to learn to DJ. Over the years we would continue to play together, him showing me some of the most amazing skills I've ever seen. I was simply amazed.
Life took us in different directions after many years of knowing each other and we lost touch for a while. During this time, Eric was going to the Institue of Production & Recodring in Minnesota. He was learning the mastering skills of MAKING the music I was so in love with.
When Eric moved back to Colorado after he was done with school, he friend requested me on Facebook. We connected again. He shared the album he created and recorded in school. It moved me so much. I have never heard such beautiful, creative music in my life. Over the past couple of months, he has shared with me how much it means to him to publish his amazing work of art. We have discussed what it would take and the financial end of things are the only thing holding him back. I have taken it upon myself to create this Go Fund me page to try and help him achieve his dreams because he has inspired me and taught me and now, changed my emotions with his music.
If we could just come up with the money to copywrite, register and publish on a few websites, it would really change his life. It would also change mine. I could see the person who inspired me to play the music that all of you love to hear, succeed in something they are more passionate about than anything. Anyone that could help, it would be greatly appreciated.
