The Go Fund Me campaign is an investment into me personally in continuing my efforts on promoting Awareness, Oversight and Control tied to being safe on the internet. Currently, Parent Dome is an existing entity on the Internet with a web presence at www.ParentDome.com. This is where the University of information resides and the repository for the continuing updated lessons, research and content as it pertains to the Mission.
WHY INTERNET SAFETY
Connection to the internet has become a very natural part of our daily experience. We would be hard pressed to describe a life absent of the power we hold in our hands in a cell phone, the efficiency we obtain though the web, the peace we can obtain by having our children being entertained playing video games.
However, our busy lives may not afford us the necessary time to take steps to ensure that this experience is managed in a way that is protective, safe and secure for privacy. Many acknowledge the reality of the permanence and public aspects of the internet, yet assign the risks or consequences to others.
The internet is a very powerful entry point for anyone to become a victim of negative consequences tied to a poorly thought through Text, Tweet, Photo, Video or just visiting someplace dangerous on the internet. Consequences are not just based upon what we do, say or visit, but can be a response to others actions.

Tween and Teen Girls take an average of 200 selfies a day. What are all of those pictures and where do they wind up?
Children often know more about technology and applications than caregivers, do children have the wisdom or do parents just trust that the kids will come to them before a problem. Did you tell your parents before you got in trouble?
WHY PARENT DOME:
During our investigation and research phase we were unable to identify a single destination to address the breadth, depth and complexity of this new Internet Connected Society. We found a number of quality and competent organizations which would address a particular facet of addressing Digital Citizenship and Digital Stewardship. Yet, no simple tool could possibly provide the level of comfort that would align with a Parent’s assumed expectations.
Recognizing that several resources touched on the subject. Absent of parental engagement these tools did not change behavior nor achieve security or safety. Parent Dome saw a void. This void was magnified even wider when trauma hit my life personally. You can hear my Personal Journey inside of Parent Dome. When I was immersed in addressing our personal issues, it was a gigantic catalyst to accelerate the research and investigation and gather additional tools and enhance the lesson creation or educational materials.
The research/investigation phase involved public speaking/presentations where audience participants added an entire set of new needs and concerns. Today, Parent Dome is still being enhanced as the Internet Experience is continuously shifting and expanding and our site requires constant attention to address these fluctuations.
PARTICIPATION
The funds raised through this campaign can be evaluated in the following context.
1.) You have been part of the Parent Dome community on one of the several platforms and the messaging has been beneficial to you and financial participation is another way (beyond your current web based encouragement/affirmation) to support the mission.
2.) You are new to Parent Dome and our messaging and want to learn more. You believe that the mission is appropriate, real and individuals can benefit from our organization speaking out and providing resources in protecting children online.
3.) You have or had explored Parent Dome and listened to the video and could be, or know of someone who could be “The Right People”, to participate in being part of propelling a larger impact of the Parent Dome mission.
The Goal of the Go Fund Me is to support my current efforts in keeping the enterprise functioning with the media production, education, lesson creation, private webinar’s, public shows/interviews etc. In addition to the expansion into other valuable assets such as:
Mobile Application with daily content.
Daily Podcast to be launched on iTunes and Google Play.
Conclusion of an educational book and study guide.
Video based teaching/training aids.

Parent Domes mission involving internet safety, at its core, is focusing on the diverse family dynamics and being a catalyst to all parents and caregivers on Parental responsibility as it relates to instilling values, moral and ethics into children. Bringing balance into what one may desire as far as equipping a child in contrast to what i happening in opposition (institution or internet).

As the founder of Parent Dome, I am aware of both my strengths and weakness. I function from the paradigm, if I am the smartest man in the room, I need to find another room. In that capacity, I seek the counsel of those wiser than myself and with experience different than my own. Filling my own personal deficiencies with the competency and wisdom from those with talent. In bringing Parent Dome from a personal dream into the public domain, I have listened, tested, and reframed the message, platform, models, based upon that external direction. This experience has left me with the awareness that something (message, messenger, topic, process, content, etc) is not favorable to Parents and Caregivers.
Parent Dome does have a loyal audience which benefits from our messaging. Yet, gaining greater exposure, visibility and attachment has been much less than predicted by all involved.

Parent Dome desires to build a management team / Board, of “The Right People”. The current structure of Parent Dome is similar to a college syllabus. The educational content is broken down into major category modules with lessons attached to each module. Lessons are a combination of Text, Video instruction and audio files. Additional resource material is provided in the form of Research or white papers available in a download section. Upon securing a membership, the complete inventory of modules and lessons are available.
The structure by design was intended to be completely open. Speaking to a broad audience, we have no basis to to determine which steps may be critical to a particular family. Making an easy (step-by-step) process has to many variables to ensure we address the critical elements when they are needed. Opening up the entire archive allows members to take the steps as they are needed in conjunction to managing their family relationships and balance of crisis vs proactive implementation.
