Education for disadvantaged youth
CYTS is a not for profit training orgainsation that provides nationally accredited literacy and numeracy qualifications for young people that have disengaged from mainstream education. The qualifications gained assist students to access pathways to further education and employment.
CYTS provides a holistic approach to training and assessment that incorporates a flexible, non judgemental environment for learning with support for non educational barriers.
CYTS has serviced the most disadvantaged in the community for over 30 years and due to recent, immediate cessation of future government funding it now seeks assistance to raise funds to educate the 50 students currently on the waiting list,
CYTS students are referred by a variety of government and community organisations that work with severely disadvantaged and dysfunctional youth. Students often present with an array of issues from low literacy and numeracy, learning difficulties, drug and alcohol use, domestic violence, homelessness, teenage parenting to mental and physical health issues.
As the organisation has ATO designated Gift Recipient Status all donations over $2 are tax deductable.
Would you please help CYTS continue to change the lives of these young people who are at high risk of remaining without education or qualifications to enter the work force.
