Ryan Masales Abbotsford Police

On September 15, our beloved colleague, friend, husband and father, Ryan Masales , was diagnosed with an aggressive stage 4 Glioblastoma tumor after experiencing a seizure at work ten days earlier.  Ryan has recently undergone surgery to remove the tumor however he has since received the devastating news that his condition is terminal. Ryan, being the man that he is, has vowed to fight the disease for as long as he is able so that he may spend as much time as possible with the people he loves. Ryan has served as a police officer for 17 years, beginning his service with the Vancouver Police Department, and moving to the Abbotsford Police Department so that he could be closer to home with his family. The Abbotsford Police Union and all employees of the Abbotsford police Department are reaching out to the greater law enforcement community, to those who support us or have simply endured a family’s battle with this horrible disease, to assist Ryan, his loving wife Estelize and their little boy Ryder during this most difficult time. The purpose of this fundraising endeavour is to use the money collected to fund immunotherapy in the United States for Ryan.  The family has researched this therapy and feels that it gives the best opportunity for Ryan to beat this disease.  Thank you for your continued support in Ryan's fight against this terrible disease. #fightchopper
