Save South Wolf Creek

We need your help to purchase water to keep South Wolf Creek flowing.  The prolonged drought in Northern California has caused this wonderful creek to go dry.  We have an opportunity to purchase natural water from our water company to keep this creek alive and flowing.  I represent a group of people who live along this creek, who live near the creek and have come to appreciate its beauty and importance, and people who care about the terrible fall out from it going dry.  South Wolf Creek is home to trout, turtles, craw dads, fresh water clams, blue gill, dragon flies, beaver, and more.  Great Blue Herons, King Fishers, Wood Ducks, Canada Geese, wild turkey and many more local bird species depend on its water.  Deer, Coyotes, Mountain Lions, Fox, Bobcats and Racoons all need its water to survive.  Native plants such as willow trees, cottonwoods, oak trees, cattails, and more are dying since the water has dried up.  Fire danger is very real here now.  Every day sees more damage that will make it hard for this ecology to come back to health.  We need to get water flowing now!  Our group has raised money to try to get water running again, but we are running out of funds now.  Once we have water flowing, we need your help to keep it going until the rains.  We love this creek for the beauty and life it brings to miles of South Nevada County.  Your donations will let you know that you have helped keep animals and plants alive.  Your donations will help alleviate very real fire danger from dead, dying and dry plants.
