Help for Alek

I have never asked for help in my life, but unfortunately I have come to a time where I need to. My 14 year old son Alek was diagnosed 2 weeks ago with a very rare and deadly form of cancer (NUT midline carcinoma ).  This particular cancer is nearly impossible to treat.  And there have been less than 100 people in the past 10 years diagnosed with it. Unfortunately only a handful have survived.   The cancer has already spread from his lung to many other places in his body. The doctors are no longer talking about saving him, they are basically going to fill him with chemo to try and give him some extra time. The reason I am asking for help is there are clinics that are using experimental methods to stop cancer. Supposedly they have been very successful even with late stage terminal cancers. I am thinking it's worth a try at this point since conventional methods won't save him. Problem is insurance won't pay. I have always lived paycheck to paycheck working 3 to 4 jobs at one time. Now all that's gone since I basically have to care for him full time. The therapies I have been looking at cost between $10 and $15k, plus the cost to get him there and the cost of ongoing medications.  So I'm asking for a little help, if enough people give a little I might be able to get him there before he goes downhill any further. I know it's rolling the dice, but in my heart I think it could actually work.

My life has unfortunately been touched by a lot of death. My mother died at the age of 50 due to an aggressive form of cancer. And my stepsister died suddenly from heart issues. For many years (since the age of 5) it's just been Alek and me. He was my rock, the one person I could always count on being there for me.  He is also the perfect kid, never back talked, always sweet and really cared about others.  I really don't understand why an innocent kid could get such a horrible disease. But hopefully it's not too late to save him. I'm doing everything in my power. I thank you all in advance, and i will be thanking you individually and posting any updates.
