2nd Annual LEO Weekend

Donation protected
* Thank you for your generous donations for our 2017 event! Law Enforcement Officers Weekend was able to bring the families of fallen officers Brian Falb (NYS Police) and Deputy Chief James Molloy (NYPD).

This year (2018) we have the pleasure of hosting the family of Detective Miosotis Family (NYPD). We are now trying to raise a MINIMUM of $1,500.00 to bring a second family from outside of New York to the event. If you would like to recommend a second deserving family from outside of NY, please e-mail us!

Our Mission:

To provide a fun and relaxing environment for active & retired LEOs, their families and friends at one of the most beautiful places on earth, Lake George, New York. We strive to raise as much money as possible through charitable donations to bring the families of fallen officers, or officers seriously injured in the line of duty, to an all-expesnes paid vacation to our annual event.

About Us:

During the fall of 2014, Police Officer Austin Glickman came up with the idea of Law Enforcement Officers Weekend while training as a police recruit in the New York City Police Academy. During his time in the academy, many racially profiled incidents occurred throughout the country, including the police-involved deaths of Eric Gardner and Michael Brown. Although these incidents were completely justified, the outcomes sparked a biased and deadly movement against law enforcement officers, which continues to last to this day.

Over the next 3 years, elected officials in our local, state and federal government turned a blind eye to the issue, allowing a small group of the general public to take hold of the media to spread their lies and hatred. Shootings and attacks against law enforcement officers spiked, with 135 officers being killed in the line of duty in 2016, 64 of which were shot to death.

With stress levels at an all-time high for law enforcement officers, Austin approached Mayor of Lake George Robert Blais (retired law enforcement) and New York State Correctional Officer David Linehan for help. They created a concept of a three day event in which active and retired officers, their family and friends would come together from across the country to enjoy one of the most beautiful places on earth, Lake George, New York. Their annual event allows attendees to relax, unwind, compete in friendly competitions, network with peers, educate themselves by attending law enforcement related seminars, enjoy family-friendly events and pay their respects to fallen officers.

On May 19th, 2017, LEO Weekend became reality when Mayor Blais welcomed nearly 100 LEOs, their family and friends to our inaugural event in Lake George. We strive to build our annual weekend into a respected, well-known event for the Thin Blue Line!
