Hi! I am Anthony Chan. I am an upcoming student director who is currently working on a film that I wish to submit to festivals.What is the purpose of life? The pursuit of knowledge? The experience of love?
Watching a movie is one of the most sensible ways of experiencing a story. As a filmmaker, I incline to create sensational and philosophical movies which tackle contemporary social issues that we all deeply care about.
I am raising money for my film and I hope to share a social and philosophical message to the world. I wish to interrogate the realm of loneliness and depression through the eyes of our protagonist, Adam, who has recently lost someone he loves and leads him to seek for escapism through his cell phone.
LOGLINE:
A depressed cellphone addict confronts his agonising memories when his cellphone comes to life and attempts to seize his body.
PREMISE
The ordinary city sound is no longer the sound of the laughter and the sound of the city rush; it is the sound of silence, captured in human shells that are gazing intimately with their monitors.
After the untimely passing of his wife, Adam, the depressed husband falls into a social inactive state where he seeks for escapism through his cell phone.
However, after the disappearance of his cell phone, an uncanny but attentive gentleman forces Adam to find for a new partner which incidentally help him through his depression stage and find purpose for his life.
~ THIS MOVIE IS A FANTASY DRAMA WITH AN URGENT SOCIAL MESSAGE~
All the money you donate will be used only for the making of the film, and we need your donations for affording loocations, crew, equipments, costume rental, food, transportation, post production, etc.
This campaign needs urgent need of your support and once we collect the funds, we will proceed to principle photography in late November, we will be releasing the film in late March.
