 On the morning of August 22, 2016 Vincenzo got up to go to school like every other high school senior and was looking forward to football practice later that day.  Just before noon he started to complain of chest pain and was having trouble breathing. He was taken to the hospital were the Doctors found a very aggressive massive growth in his chest, above the heart, partially collapsing his lungs and interfering with his air way. Vincenzo was transfered by air to Mattel Children's Hospital UCLA and was admitted to Pediatric ICU. On August 23rd Vincenzo started emergency chemotherapy. After long days of undergoing tests and proceduers Vincenzo was diagnosied with T-cell leukemia on August 30th.   For the next 4 years Vincenzo will have a long road ahead fighting this battle. He is strong and he has his sword up and ready to fight!
