Crystal F. Johnson

We first met Jay, Crystal and Deja in 2007 when we were both stationed at Ft. Huachuca. We connected through our wonderful New Jerusalem Community Church family and became fast friends. They were regulars at our game nights and we always had a great time. I remember times when it wasn’t safe to eat or drink anything because we could bust out laughing at any time; Guesstures was usually the reason. Crystal was a joy to be around and always found a way to have fun and bring joy to any situation. She was a fellow soldier and a friend. Even after they moved away she was the type of friend who would be glad to see you after years. She was a gift to this world for the short time she was here and she is sorely missed.

On the morning of August 27 Crystal unexpectedly fell into a coma secondary to diabetic ketoacidosis. Within days she devloped a blood clot and suffered a stroke; unfortunately she was unable to recover.
