Our beautiful Suzi tragically lost her life in an horrific road accident on Wednesday 24 August 2016 in Eumundi, Queensland. She was driving home from work on her way to pick up her family for dinner to celebrate her mother’s birthday.
Suzi was in her car waiting to turn into the street where she’d lived for 14 years, when a car hit her from behind and pushed her into the path of an oncoming 4WD. Although wearing her seatbelt, the impact ejected Suzi from her car and she was unable to be revived at the scene. Suzi left our world at just 49 years young, and leaves behind a devastated family who are struggling to comprehend a life without her shining light in their lives. Suzi’s husband is at home and trying to focus on comforting and supporting their two beautiful young children through the unimaginable pain of losing their mother whilst also trying to grieve the loss of his best friend and longstanding partner.
Suzi worked for an Aboriginal community health organisation and was always the first one to offer whatever she could to help others, with the ability to make the lost feel found and give to those with little. Whatever she had she would share with others and always made time for her family, friends and community. Suzi loved to laugh and be surrounded by her friends and family. Suzi was the personification of generosity.
The financial hardship on her grieving family is one thing we can help with. Ensuring they have their needs looked after means they can have the space to grieve. Any contribution would be so very much appreciated.
