Update on our Appalachian Trail Thru-Hike:
As you may have read, our pup was in the animal hospital after a fainting and bleeding episode. But, good news....
we have our sweet gal back in our arms!!! While the vet wasn't able to give us any real explanations as to what happened yesterday, all of her blood work had improved significantly as of this morning and he seemed very optimistic that it will continue to do so. He asked that we continue to let her rest for the next 3-5 days, so we are staying put for the next few days. We are trying to remain calm and roll with the punches as they hit, but we definitely feel a little defeated at the moment. We are so SO grateful for all of your encouraging words, for your unending support of us and for keeping us in your thoughts and prayers during all of this. A lot of you have inquired about how you can help us during this setback, and even though it is hard for our pride to do so, we want to remind everyone that we have GoFundMe set up for those wanting to help us out monetarily. But I'm serious when I say this: your words mean the world to us and have kept our spirits encouraged to keep moving forward since day 1 - no matter what that looks like.
