In existence since 1984, United Sisters of Charity continues to move forward and expand its offerings to the community despite a monumental reduction in funding over the past few years.
Our mission is to serve the public by alleviating hunger and improve the living conditions of the citizens we service by providing them with basic living needs including household supplies and toiletries. We provide meals to those in and around Detroit who are often elderly, low income, poverty stricken and homeless. We also plan to host AA/NA meetings and provide workshops on financial literacy and job readiness skills.
We ask that you make a commitment to support our annual appeal by making a cash donation . These funds would be allocated to purchase necessary items to be given away at each event and provide a hot meal for the families who come out to receive these goods. Your generosity will make a difference in our society by allowing us to continue in our work. Please consider being a monthly contributor to our cause. Remember that every donation makes a difference, regardless of size.
