Study Abroad - Granada, Spain
My name is Alexis Bailey. I attend the University of Memphis. I plan to graduate with my Bachelor's degree in Sociology and a minor in Spanish December of 2017.
I'm interested in participating in a International Internship in Granada, Spain where I will also be taking my major and minor courses at the University of Granada in the Spring of 2017. The program duration is from 01/23/2017 to 05/26/2017.
The program fee is $11,795. I have a sample budget which includes the International Airfare ($1,200-$1,600), immigration requirements that will include passport and visa ($295), books/materials/supplies that will range between $42-$140 along with personal expenses such as laundry, local transportation, and personal necessities ($280-$840).
My financial aid will cover some of the program cost which includes my federal pell grant, subsidized loan, and unsubsidized loan. I have also been applying for some scholarships, but there is no guarantee that I will receive the funding.
I am willing to:
-Babysit if you have kids two times out of the week for a $25 donation
- Rake the leaves from the yard for a $25 donation
-If you would like a small souvenir from Spain for a $25 donation (when you donate just write a comment stating that you would like a souvenir)
- Send you pictures of the different excursions and new experiences that I'm involved in for a $25 donation
Anytime before January 1, 2017 would be good to
donate and any amount will count and will be highly appreciated.
I never been out of the country and I believe this would be an unforgettable experience traveling to Spain to have the opportunity to see a different city, a different culture, the way people interact with one another, the way they live including special traditions, and etc. Not only will it be a great opportunity, but it will also look good on my resume.
I will be thankful for any amount donation given. I will love to have the opportunity to talk about my experience abroad and inform those who are really interested in hearing about it. If you decide to donate, THANK YOU again! I feel a very unusual sensation-if it's not indigestion, I think it must be GRATITUDE. Muchas Gracias.
