The Hoad family need our help.
Most of you know the story about Ben and Shana's young son Calyn, who heroically saved his little brother Kya from the path of an oncoming car bravely pushing him out of the way and taking the impact himself. Calyn has fought a long hard battle over the past 3 years he has taught himself to walk, to eat and to talk again. He has showed utter determination during this whole journey!
Unfortunately he has begun a new battle last week. After becoming ill with what was a suspected flu he quickly deteriorated and was rushed to hospital with high temps. The doctor's intially diagnosed him with Streptococcal Pnuemonia and a bacterial infection, but when they almost lost him again, the doctor's investigated further and discovered that this little Hero was not only suffering from Pnuemonia but also severe bacterial meningitis. The doctor's praised Calyn's parents for their quick thinking and actions, if he hadn't of been brought to the hospital when he was, they were only hours away from being in the same situation they faced 3 years ago, possibly losing their beloved child. Calyn is improving each day but the recovery is going to take time, luckily he is now on the correct medication and he has a wonderful team of medical professionals that will be helping him to get well.
The Hoad family is a one income family, as Shana cares for calyn full - time. During this time no one can blame Ben for wanting to be at his child's bedside, however this means that he is unable to go to work and that means the family currently have no money coming in as Ben is a contractor that only gets paid when he works.
I would love to help the Hoad family by paying their normal household bills that they are now unable to pay due to this unexpected situation. The mortage repayment, food, electricity, phone and insurances.... the bills that don't stop no matter what the circumstances are that you find yourself in.
