Ky's major ventricular hemorrhage

At the end of July Sam was worried about her son Ky who had been unwell with vomitting and headaches . He was taken to Rockhampton hospital by ambulance . Ky had a major ventricular hemorrhage and had to be airlifted to brissy for the neurosurgeon to put in a drain to relieve the pressure on his brain from the bleed. Turns out he had an avm that had burst and bled out... Ended up spending nearly 3 weeks in hospital to recover and he now has brain damage that has affected his memory, speech and reading.

The last appointment in Brisbane was good, his avm is operable with about a 5% chance of stroke and death and they are confident they can get it all. Unfortunately they also anticipate that he will have speech issues, motor probs on the right side and personality changes. They think because he is young his brain should recover from this trauma with extensive rehab. Whether he will fully recover is unknown and he has about a 2% chance of the avm coming back.

They are stressed and Sam is so broke from all the brissy trips.
Hence why I have decided to do this for my beautiful freind .

She is a single Mum of 3 children 1 with Down syndrome and would gratelly benefit . Even the smallest amount I'm sure . I know she is terrified for her son and what the future will bring. Ky's younger siblings do not understand and help bring smiles to every day.
I know it's hard to ask for help,
