Running for Pete, Frankie & Kerrie

Hello everyone
I'm Bernadette Douglas I have seven children and I'm 55 years old. Probably too old to be running marathons. I have decided to run the Melbourne Marathon on October 16th for three speical family members all  who are experiencing different types of cancer.

My brother in law Pete has been battling pancreatic cancer since September 2014.  My sister in law Frankie has just recently been diagnosed with pancreatic and breast cancer.  My cousin Kerrie is really struggling with an ocular melanoma and breast cancer.

I have been so impressed by their positive attitude about life and  their desire to beat their cancers.  They are all so important to me and their families, but the treatments are placing a  financial strain on them. This motivated me to run for them. All the money raised will go evenly and directly to Pete, Frankie and Kerrie.  We will be receiving donations until the 23rd of October.
