2017 Vander Clute Ride

Every July the VFW National Convention is held in a previously chosen city in the USA. This last July it was held in Charlotte NC. The next one is going to be in New Orleans. Each year VFW Riders ride their motorcycles to the convention in what is known as the VanderClute Ride. Where each State presents a check to the National Commander. All proceeds from the ride go to the military and veterans assistance program. It has become a bit of a friendly rivalry between states to see who can raise the most. Last year a total of over 50 thousand was raised. With ten thousand being from the VFW Riders of Va. Only Iowa beat us with almost 20 thousand. I want to start our fundraising early this year and beat Iowa.
