Greetings Everyone,
My name is Lolita L. Mack and I am a Doctoral Candidate in the Workforce Education and Development Program at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, Illinois. I have started this campaign as a last cause effort to receive assistance in me completing one of the most important tasks in my life.
A few years ago, I exhausted my Student Loan eligibility and have been paying tuition and fees out of pocket for the remainder of my PhD tenure. I completed all courses and have passed all comprehensive exams to become a candidate for the PhD. There are two things that remain in my quest: Prospectus Defense and Dissertation Defense.
Now that classes are completely over I have to register for a Continuing Education class, which is one credit hour, per semester (until I finish the degree). This class is approximately $400 per semester. I have a past Bursar Bill through the Institution that is greater than the $200 limit to register. I wasn't able to register for Spring, Summer or Fall 2016 classes because of this new registration rule.
Because of other serious financial obligations, I was not able to pay this Bursar Account and now it is sent to Collections. I have applied for grants, scholarships, loans, and other assistance programs, but because I am not a half-time or greater student and/or my income is considered too high for a one person household, I have been denied for different assistance programs. I am asking my family, friends, friends of friends, associates, and/or anyone with a giving heart to assist me in getting my Bursar Bill paid and pay for the remaining Continuing Education credits and research material funding. Of course I am only asking for assistance with a majority of the funds, as I will personally fundraise or paying the remaining money out of pocket.
Your donation is greatly appreciated and I will be forever grateful to ANYONE that can assist with ANY DOLLAR AMOUNT of money toward my future success. Obtaining my PhD will be ONE of the greatest accomplishments of my life! As humble as I can be, this is probably one of the hardest things for me to do! But asking you all for help will also empower me to stay motivated as I reach the end of the tunnel in my educational journey.
