Support for TJ and Jenni Barber

My family and I are so thankful that my dear brother TJ and his gorgeous wife Jenni are now safe with us in East Feliciana Parish during the devastating flood of Louisiana. It's been a rough couple of days for them and they have a lot of rebuilding to do. Jenni calls it, "starting from scratch". It's an eye-opening yet simple way to describe the new chapter of their lives.

TJ and Jenni were living in an apartment in Denham Springs and it was overnight that the floodwaters came around them like a moat. Soon it overtook both of their cars, and no matter how much they tried to move them to high ground, they lost both of them. Jenni had just gotten her Honda Civic five days previous, and TJ had his red Corolla for years.

They are newlyweds and have since gone through some very tough times together. TJ lost his job a few months ago and has been doing odd jobs to bring in income, while looking for a job in his field. Jenni just recently got a job as a photographer but with this disastrous event, there will be little to no photography business. They have shown incredible resourcefulness, they've worked together as a team. But without transportation and very little work for either of them now, life has gotten a whole lot harder.

It has been amazing to see all my friends and family, everybody from complete strangers to dear online friends come together during these difficult days. TJ and Jenni were rescued by the "Cajun Navy" who have worked tirelessly to save everyone from the floods, we've seen pictures of people diving into the water to save people and animals alike. This love and strength gets people through the toughest times. It reflects the boundless love of Christ.

TJ and Jenni will need support in getting new cars very soon and every little bit counts, even just sharing this page. I love them both very dearly; I'm so happy that Jenni is a new part of my family and her beautiful family is a great addition to ours. TJ has been my best friend since I've been alive, seriously. It would mean everything to me if you could support them in any way you can. Please pray for them and for everyone affected by this disaster.
