But God will never forget the needy; the hope of the afflicted will never perish.  Psalm 9:18

I start this story with God's promise of hope because the strength we may find in this gives me hope in our divine eternity.  I have a friend, Julia whose husband was given the devastating diagonsis of ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease).  As some of you may know this is a fatal neurological disease that attacks the nerve cells.  Aron was diagnosed in January 2016 and has a very rapid progressive form.  He started in January with a small muscle twitch and it has now progressed to paralysis of all his muscles in his limbs and trunk as well as those that control vital functions such as speech, swallowing, and breathing.  I am a nurse myself and seeing how rapid the ALS is progressing is heart wrenching.  I can not imagine as a young family what this could be like emotionally, finacially, and spiritually. The burden and heaviness upon their hearts and minds I am sure can be overwhelming at times.
In this last year I have observed my precious friend maneuver through the medical paperwork, the selling and buying of a home, continue to work full time, introduce her young daughter to a new school and a new way of life, and take care for her husband with only the family's help.  The most admirable thing with this is the incredible attitude and spirit Julia has displayed during all of this.  She is one that rarely asks for help and always maintains a positive attitude.  Her fortitude during this has been amazing.
I would ask Julia how can we help your family?  She would say prayer, but in understanding how much medical costs the Hanson Family has and will continue to incur, I asked Julia's permission to set up a Go Fund Me page.  The funds raised will help off set the cost of Aron's wheelchair, medications, medical care, and home care.  I am hoping in the next few months we can raise enough money to assist this precious family and alleviate some of the finacial burden.  I also hope this gives them reassurance  in God's love and eternal spirit.  We are his hands and feet.
Thank you for contributing to help Julia, Aron and Amelia.  I know the Hanson Family will be blessed by this and your continued prayers will help uplift them during this time.

Give thanks to the LORD for he is good;  his love endures forever.  1 Chronicles 16;34
