Cooling vests for our deputies
Donation protected
As you all know, we have had an unbearably hot summer. Law enforcement folks put their lives on the line every day with heat indexes well over 100 degrees many days. Imagine working in this heat while wearing a uniform that includes a ballistic vest weighing 15 to 20 pounds. Currently the Richmond County Sheriffs Department does not provide their officers with cooling vests. The vests we want to supply are "Designed to increase anti-gravity comfort and weight pressure of body armor and promote fast evaporation of moisture from under the ballistic vest to keep body temperature regulated".
Anna and I recently bought a vest for our son in law, who is a deputy with RCSD. He says it is almost like having air conditioning compared to not wearing it!
We will need $25,000 to provide each officer with a vest.
Thank you for donating to this very worthy cause!
This is a great opportunity for everyone who wants to show support for local law enforcement !!
