Hi! My name is Gretchen Harrison and I am a close friend to Eric and Fredereka. I started this campaign to raise money for Eric and Fredereka while Eric is recovering from brain surgery from a metastatic brain tumor.
The money raised during this time will help the couple to make ends meet as Eric is going to be out of work for an undetermined amount of time. The funds will be deposited into an account that has been set up by Fredereka and they will have immediate access to the funds as needed to help pay bills as they continue to come in.
Eric's Story
Eric Fouce is an Indianapolis firefighter, who was recently diagnosed with metastatic brain cancer. Eric, who is very active enjoys spending time with his family and friends as well as serving his community. Softball is his passion.
On April 12, 2016, Eric called Fredereka Hill, and told her that he was not feeling well. Neither one could have prepared for the life changing events that they would be challenged with over the next few days. CT results revealed that Eric had a brain tumor and brain surgery would be scheduled for April 18, 2016. Surgery went very well and Eric is back at home on the road to recovery. However, Eric’s road ahead will be long with continued treatment and radiation.
Like many families, Eric and Fredereka both work full time to make ends meet and provide for his daughter. While Eric will be off work during this extended period of time and the medical bills will continue to increase, the goal of this gofundme account is to allow Eric to focus completely on his recovery and not the financial burdens of caring for his family.
Both in their career and personal lives, Eric and Fredereka continually provide care for others. This is an opportunity for us to provide the love and support for Eric and his family during this very difficult time.
