Victory Harvest Church & Academy

Tax deductible
Our church and school have been devastated by the flood in Baton Rouge. The entire area was caught unaware when the rivers began to flood, and so many homes and businesses have been destroyed. We have been serving the community for more than 35 years with our church and school, and are now facing millions in damages.

We sheltered more than 40 people from the community as the waters continued to rise, and had water above 4 feet on the first floor of our church and school buildings. Our insurance is unable to cover even 10% of what it will cost to clean and rebuild, and all of the contents still inside the buildings are uninsured and destroyed. Our classrooms were under water, our sanctuary pews and equipment are destroyed, our church vehicles flooded, and our gym sustained more than 3 feet of water that will likely destroy the hardwood. Our teachers computers and electronic whiteboards are gone, as well as desks and books.

We are struggling to even pay electricians, carpenters and other professionals to do damage assessments and emergency fixes, and are asking even for the smallest donations to help the effort.

So many in our church and school have had their own homes destroyed, and we are working as hard as we can to help them, but time is of essence. Within a week, if not gutted and dried, the church and school buildings will be overcome with mold and nearly unrecoverable. We have teams ready to be hired to help those already working inside, but we need emergency funds to get the crews inside and started.

We believe in the ministry that Victory does, both through the church and the Academy— we know God will bring us through this to serve our community far into the future. If you have been a part of the church or school here at Victory, or touched in some way by the ministry or the Academy, we ask you to please consider giving. All funds are handled with transparency and integrity, and we are a full 501(c)3. This GoFundMe page is being created and run by staff members of the church, and ALL funds will be used to enable the church and academy to begin functioning as soon as possible and serving our community once more.

Please continue to keep all of Baton Rouge and the surrounding areas in your prayers— God bless you for your willingness to give during this tragedy!
