Hello everyone!
My name is Gaby, and I am a recent graduate from UC Berkeley who REALLY wants to pursue a career in research. I am a Latina and the first in my family to try to pursue this career. My future goal is to become a professor at a research university and teach the next generation the wonders of biology!
In working towards my future career, I would really love to attend a national conference hosted by SACNAS (Society for Advancement of Chicanos/Hispanics and Native Americans in Science) on October 13-15. This would be an AMAZING experience for me, exposing me to various research presentations, mentors, networking, and training for skills needed in this field.
The cost for the registration is $395, which is a significant amount for me. The goal, of course, is to try to raise this amount, but really ANYTHING would be of much help and I would be super grateful!
