Join Mike's Team!!!  Mike has been effectively managing and dealing with chronic liver disease for the past 8+ years.  Approximately one year ago, his condition became worse.  At that time, he was evaluated for a liver transplant at UNMC.  He took many positive and decisive steps to qualify for this procedure when it was necessary.
At this time, his condition continues to decline, and he will hopefully be placed on the transplant list within the next few weeks. 
Mike is too weak, and ill to work.  He is working hard to manage his health  and stay positive for what is ahead for him.  Co-pays, and healthcare expenses are a worry and day to day living expenses are a challenge.  When he is fortunate to receive a liver transplant, it will require travel and stays in Omaha, while he is in UNMC.
His greatest hope is to restore his health, and return to work and normal activities.  It is difficult for him to ask for help and support.
