NWT SPCA - Save a Life

We are a not for profit animal rescue organization with no government funding. We need help to continue to do what is required to help as many domestic animals in the NWT as we can. The need is great. Our programs aim to help northern communities and the dogs/cats in those communities. Our facility was built and paid for with funds we raised. Our mortgaged land is being paid for by funds we raise as well. We continue to intake approximately 550 dogs and 50 cats each year. The numbers are increasing. Each animal costs money to treat medically. We need to pay staff to take care of the important day to day animal duties. Among others, we currently have in our care four nursing dogs and three nursing cats. Plus several adult and old dogs that were neglected in a hoarding situation. Every week we are asked to take in abandoned and unwanted dogs, pregnant dogs, abused dogs. Please help us continue to do this. Ever dollar helps save a life.
