My name is Peter Lundholm, and ten years ago I started writing a story about organized crime in Chicago. The project was previously known as "Vecchio Quartiere" but no one could pronnounce that. The title has since been changed to 'The Old Quarter.'
The mission of 'The Old Quarter' is to buck the tropes and cliches that have pervaded the genre of organized crime cinema. Rather than the high-concept caricatures seen in recent forays into mob drama, TOQ is going to have a quiet, dark, and hyper realistic tone.
Originally, my goal was to make a full length independent film. But after seeing the great successes of many online web series, I thought that would be an effective way to make 'The Old Quarter' an immersive experience for the viewers.
The first step we've decided to take is to produce a pilot episode, broken up into two parts and hosted on it's own webpage.
Besides the two part pilot episode itself, we wanna have an immersive website with mock dossiers on the characters and surveillance photos.
I have decided to make this GoFundMe page to raise the funds to not only bring the story to life through authentic wardrobe and scenery, but to duly compensate the incredibly talented individuals I've brought on board for this project. Plus, I have personally put together a unique guerilla marketing plan to get more eyes on the final product.

The Mafia in Chicago is as powerful as ever. The signpost of that success is no publicity, zero body count, reams of cash and connections…But after an open-court acknowledgement of the once secret society by a high ranking member and the shenanigans of several mob underlings, boss Giuseppe “Joe” Formato must emerge from the shadows.
In stark contrast with his isolationist leadership of the last twenty years, Formato meets directly with his organized crime ‘family’ in an attempt to right the ship. In short, he wants everything to be quiet; He wants to stay out of the papers, and out of jail.
Formato conducts an impromptu clinic on what expects from his crew, and gives a series of small lectures on how he clinched the number one spot in the Second City…And how he plans to keep it.
