This is Tina Payne, and I make natural soaps and herbal products. And in light of the recent Zika outbreaks, I have done my research to find a natural way to protect oneself from mosquitoes and other common biting insects that may carry illnesses.
In my research, I found which natural, plant-based essential oils have been proven as effective as DEET and Picaridin.
I am in the process of creating a mosquito-repelling line of products, to include a natural roll-on and natural soap to be made available for sale to the public.
The roll-on concept is a convenient stick that can be carried on hiking trips, to school and anywhere protection from mosquitoes is needed. No sticky residue, no DEET and easy application is what I promise with this product.
The soap would offer the gentle, yet effective cleansing that's free of sulfates. It not only complements the roll-on's pest control properties, it also helps treat existing bites and irritation from pests.
However, these ingredients are expensive to acquire, and the prevention of mosquito bites is an urgent need in the United States.
To develop the roll-on and soap, funds are needed for ingredient purchasing (essential oils and base), and packaging and labeling of the product.
