DAD- Medical Alert Dog for Diabetic

My name is Vicky Rising. I have been an insulin dependant, Type 1 Diabetic for over 41 years. I am utilyzing an insulin pump to help manage the diabetes. Every year is harder since diabetes affects everything in the human body.  I have been experiencing hypoglycemic unawareness for a few years, and in the last two years have been diagnosed with complicated eye issues.  The money provided will be used to provide a medically trained service canine  to assist me daily. They are highly trained dogs to alert with low and high blood glucose readings - even before a meter can detect. This type of service dog could literally save my life, which has been jeopardized too much in the recent years.  I no longer work outside of the home for reasons dealing with the diabetes. I would like to have the funds in the next few months in order to be on the list for a dog and begin the 6 month to 2 year process.   I have a 5 year old at home I need to be around for as well as my grandchildren that are beginning their lives.  Words cannot express the gratitude I feel toward everyone who is helping me acheive this goal.  I know that I cannot obtain this alone, and without insurance help, I am reaching out to all of you. I am mostly thankful to my Almighty Father who has given me all these years and hopefully many more to come with my family.  I know that I am blessed more than deserved.  I pray you receive an abundance of blessings in return for your kinds deeds, not only for me, but for all people that you help provide.
