Colleen's School Supply Fund
My name is Raquel and this fund raiser has nothing to do with me, but EVERYTHING to do with my friend and Teacher, COLLEEN GERKE and her students at Hemlock Elementary School, in Fontana, CA.!
Due to her school district's low income levels, Colleen spends about $2,000 a school year OUT OF HER OWN POCKET, for basic school supplies such as: Paper, Notebooks, Pens, Pencils, Rulers, etc. You name it and Colleen buys it with her own money, so that her kids can have what they need to learn. The school district forbids Colleen from soliciting funds or supplies from parents, but that rule doesn't apply to her friends! :)
We'd like to respectfully ask that you contribute any amount, so that we can reach our $2,000 goal. That way Colleen doesn't have to keep spending her own money. And truth be told, she's so awesome she'll spend her own money on supplies, whether you choose to help or not. She didn't win 2013/2014 Teacher of the Year, for nothin'! You can definitely say she's one of the good ones!
Our thinking is, any small amount helps! So whether it be $10, $25, or even $50, We'll gladly accept it on Colleen's behalf.
You have our word on our honor, that ALL FUNDS collected will go towards helping out Colleen's students, at Hemlock Elementary! We take great pride in being able to do this for her, and hope you'll jump on board and support our cause! Thank you so much for your consideration and generosity.
