I wish for Less Lyme & More Life!
On October 6, 1987, into the world I came. Blue and breathless just one hour old, nobody could explain. Yet blonde and feisty, so full of sparkle, a girl I grew to be. Never knowing all the while what struggle still awaited me. Doctor after doctor, year after year, I fought to survive; only at 27 did I learn that I had Lyme!
Progress has been made since my near death descent, forward and back again through torture I've went. No nearly 29, tired and true, I still believe I can be healthy because of YOU!
Your birthday gifts are much appreciated to help me continue to heal! Thank you so very much!
I am told this special is unprecedented and offers a valid window into this epidemic.
Hi Briana. I am so moved by your courage! Please contact me because I want to set up an additional fund raiser for you for those who can't make it to the one on here. If it is hard for you to talk, maybe your Mom will be able to. My number is 877-4800. G-d bless you and all who are helping you.
Brianna, You are an amazing young woman. I have been following your progress over the last year when I became aware of your condition through your mother who was a classmate of mine in highschool. It was through facebook that I was able to connect with her and learn about the struggle that you have been facing. First of all I want to congratulate you on your amazing perseverence through this illness to complete your education. So many young men and women your age just quit and give up when things get hard. They don't face half of the struggles that you do and they still, give up and don't finish school. Your mom has done an amazing job raising and caring for you and it shows in the way you live your life . I am a Christian and I have learned to lean on God when times get tough. It is the love of God and our family that brings us through these tough trials, like the one you are facing now. In the Bible, in the book of Jeremiah, it says, "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. " I want to encourage you today Brianna that God does have a plan for your life. As you seek Him and lean on Him he will reveal that plan to you. I have been praying for you as I'm sure many of your friends and family have. I will continue to pray that he gives you continued strength and courage as you face the tough days ahead and that He will give you the desires of your heart. Psalm 37:4 tells us, Delight yourself in the LORD and he will give you the desires of your heart." That is my prayer for you. You have been such an inspiration to me. I have a son your age that suffers from a chronic illness that causes him alot of pain and frustration and it is amazing to see that often times those that struggle the most physically end up being the strongest! My son is amazing and has endured much, just like you. Twice he was paralyzed completely. But God has been there through it all and he is now stable. He has learned that he can do all things through Christ who gives him strength. In Phillipians 4:13 it says, I can do everything through him who gives me strength. May God grant you strength, courage and endurance as you continue your journey on the road to recovery. May He give you His peace that surpasses all understanding. You got this Brianna!!! You and your mom are strong women and the love that you share will bring you through. I look forward to reading your updates and hearing about your milestones of recovery. I was able to make a donation of $100 earlier this year and I hope to soon be able to make another contribution. God be with you!
